Welder Associate - Part Time
Zafiro Jewellers is seeking a dynamic and personable Welder/Sales Associate to join our team. This unique role combines the technical skill of welding permanent jewelry with the customer-focused responsibilities of a sales associate. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fine jewelry, have excellent communication skills, and be dedicated to providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. No prior welding experience is necessary; we are willing to provide comprehensive training to the right candidate.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement:
- Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Interact with customers, offering assistance and responding to queries about products and purchases.
- Provide personalized recommendations based on customer needs and preferences.
- Introduce customers to promotions and new products.
- Sales and Operations:
- Operate the Shopify POS system, handle payments, and process credit card transactions.
- Manage refunds, exchanges, and returns efficiently and courteously.
- Locate merchandise for customers and place special orders when necessary.
- Keep customer records updated with sales documentation.
- Stay informed about sales trends to enhance service and achieve sales targets.
- Alert management to potential security issues in the store.
- Event Support:
- Assist with off-site pop-up shops or private events as needed.
- Jewelry Welding:
- Weld permanent jewelry pieces after receiving comprehensive training.
- Ensure all welding work meets Zafiro Jewellers' high standards of quality and safety.
- Product Knowledge:
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all in-store and online merchandise.
- Continuously update product knowledge to provide accurate information to customers.
Qualifications:
- Previous retail experience, preferably in a high-end or jewelry setting.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Ability to operate POS systems; experience with Shopify is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and perform welding tasks for permanent jewelry.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
